                                                                           BASIC QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS.

  • The main activity of our Company is the production, popularization and promotion to the international market, the technology of low-temperature turbines ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle). ORC technology is a unique tool for generating electricity. The uniqueness of the technology lies in the fact that it can be used both in a traditional design, using waste low-temperature heat, and with alternative sources of thermal energy. Under the sources of alternative thermal energy, we offer various types of equipment and their combination in mini power plants of modular autonomous type.

 

  • For the execution of these types of mini power plants, we use various types of solid fuel, oil, gas and bio boilers. Also, all types of boilers can be serviced with various types of household or industrial waste. This approach to solving technical problems gives us the opportunity to be flexible in the selection of equipment for our customers. And the modularity of the equipment allows customers to increase the capacity of mini power plants as needed and in the shortest possible time.

Attention: At the moment, in Ukraine on the basis of the SSS-Energo Company (Ukraine) under the Infinity Turbine trademark (USA), the production of ORC turbines with a capacity of 50 kW and 250 kW is organized.

                                                     MODULAR CONSTRUCTION OF ORC-TURBINES "ORBOD ENERGY"

ORC-turbine "Orbod Energy" (from 10 to 400 kW of electric power per hour) consists of a single block module (usually located in a 20 ft standard shipping container) containing all the equipment necessary for the operation of the power unit: heat exchangers, pipe piping, a pump supplying a working fluid, a turbine, an electric generator, automation and a network interface unit. Large ORC (Rankine) units consist of several modules pre-assembled at the factory in a shipping container. Thanks to this, the units are easy to transport and install, and they are easily connected to heat sources. Since ORC (Rankine) turbines are container-mounted and relatively lightweight, they can be stacked on multiple floors. Orbod Energy ORC turbines are ideal for remote applications such as oil and gas fields, where only thermal energy is required from generation sources. The application is especially relevant in the developing countries of Africa.

                                                              ORC TURBINES (RENKIN) - MAIN ADVANTAGES:

  • They do not require "boiler supervision", since they do not contain steam boilers and high pressure vessels;

A PROSPECTIVE DIRECTION OF ORC TURBINES (RENKIN) APPLICATION IS THE GENERATION OF CHEAP ELECTRIC POWER IN BOILER BOILERS FUNCTIONING WITH ALTERNATIVE FUELS (BIOMASS, CHIPS, PEATS, BRICK). THE COST OF SUCH ELECTRIC POWER IS ABOUT $ 0.02 PER 1 kW-HOUR.

The principle of operation of a Rankine ORC turbine is similar to that of a standard steam turbine, except that the working fluid is an organic low-boiling liquid (such as freon), which allows the system to efficiently operate on low-temperature heat sources to generate electricity over a wide range of power outputs.

                                                                                   WHAT IS ORGANIC RANKINE CYCLE?

The organic working fluid is converted to vapor in the evaporator using the heat flow in the primary heat exchanger. The working fluid passes through the turbine, providing the necessary torque to drive the generator, and then condenses with the help of a stream of water in the heat exchanger (alternatively, atmospheric air can also be used for cooling). The condensate is forced back into the evaporator, thus completing the thermodynamic cycle. Heat and cooling sources do not come into direct contact with the working fluid and with the turbine.
